The organic furrow turner from Tehnix ensures regular and homogeneous conditions during the decomposition of compost heaps. Regular turning and moistening of the biomass loosens the material and ensures the supply of oxygen. Microbial activity is stimulated again, which leads to an increase in temperature – anaerobic zones, undesirable processes and odor formation are thus reliably prevented.
The machine has a gantry design with a rotating drum whose spirally arranged blades efficiently turn the material and create an optimal trapezoidal furrow shape. The furrow turner is powered by a diesel generator and is equipped with an integrated moistening system. It is operated from a closed, glazed cab with an excellent view of the working area. Thanks to the crawler chassis with separately driven tracks, the machine can move flexibly and even rotate on its own axis.
